JMET is the Joint Entrance test and it is the first step in the process of looking for admission to the post Graduate Programmes in management offered by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. JMET is only a qualifying exam. Applicants must apply separately to the institutes of their choice. There is no limit to the number of applications a candidate can apply to, so long as he or she meets the eligibility criteria.

Online Submission started from : 7th September, 2009
Last Date Of Online submission : 9th October, 2009
Last date for receipt of filled forms at IISc Bangalore : 16th October, 2009.
Last date for change of test center : 31st October, 2009.
Date of receipt of JMET-2010 Admit cards by students : 31st October, 2009.
Date of display of JMET-2010 application status in: 1st November, 2009
JMET 2010 Entrance Exam Date : 13th Dec, 2009
JMET 2010 Entrance Exam Result : 4th Jan, 2010
Post JMET-2010:
Date of applying independently to institute starts: 1st week of Jan, 2010.
Last date to apply independently to institutes: 29th Jan, 2010.
How to apply for IIT JMET 2010
JMET 2010 application forms can be submitted online. You can get Online Application forms by searching the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two ways of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose.

Application Fee : 350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and for other students Rs.750/-
After applying online, you will have to post some documents to the “Chairman, GATE Office, IISc Bangalore-560012″.
JMET 2010 Eligibility
You can apply for this Exam after getting Graduate degree. The Final year of qualifying degree course students are also Eligible for apply. These candidates, if selected, will be temporary, and their continuation in the program is subject to the completion of all requirements for the qualifying degree and submission of preliminary degree certificate on or before the date that gives the Institute.

JMET 2010 Examination
Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration. The JMET Exam will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, 13th Dec, 2009 and the question paper will be in English only.
After Qualifying 2010, a candidate has to apply separately to each of the schools / departments of management in various IITs wherein she / he wishes to seek admission.
The application duly filled in and signed must reach the concerned Institute by January 30, 2010.
Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) for candidates looking for admission will be held at the respective Institutes.
